Looking for Eco-friendly craft ideas for Easter.  Check out some of these over at ittybittygreenie.

Make Easter Baskets using soda bottles, empty tins, a bit of ribbon, cloth or pipe cleaners. Or, make some toilet roll bunnies or chicks. All you need is some empty toilet rolls and a bit of paint or coloured paper & feathers to make cute Easter bunnies and chicks.

Mini Easter Banner to Sew

Make this lovely Easter Banner this Easter.  This is a pattern from Happy Crafts and Creations, which can be sewn by hand.

For this banner you will need:

  • Easter banner pattern
  • Felt: full sheet of medium purple (9″ X 12″)
  • Other felt: light pink, medium pink, light blue, light purple, dark purple, yellow, light green , light teal, white
  • Embroidery floss: medium pink, dark pink, light blue, light purple, dark purple, medium yellow, light green, light teal, white and black
  • Ribbon (3/8″ wide)
  • Two buttons (5/8″ to ¾” wide)
  • Sewing needle
  • Bead needle
  • Scissors
  • 5 white pearl beads (1/8″ wide)
  • 1 black bead (1/8″ to 3/16″ wide)
  • 6 pink seed beads
  • 14 light green seed beads
  • Hot glue gun
  • Cardboard (1″ X 8″)

Cross Stitch Easter Bunny Sampler Pattern

This evening I came across a free cross stitch pattern for an Easter Bunny Sampler from Hancock’s House of Happy.

They have included the DMC colour key in the chart but you don’t have to stick to that. Experiment with your favourite colours.

There are many other free Cross Stitch patterns on Hancock’s House of Happy that you may also like to make.

Easter Crafts for Children

Easter is approaching quickly. I thought today I would share some Children Easter Crafts for you and your children to make for Easter.

  • Easter Seashell Cross Craft from Easy Preschool Crafts. For this cross you will need: 2 tongue depressors, tiny seashells,craft glue, string or twine.
  • Plastic Egg Bunny from Enchanted Learning. For this cute Bunny you will need:Plastic easter egg,2 medium or large white pompoms,1 small pink pompom,2 sheets of fun foam or construction paper (white and pink),Pipe cleaners for whiskers (optional),Hot glue,Scissors, 2 googly eyes (the bigger the better).
  • Craft Stick Bunny & Chick from Ramblings of a Crazy Woman. For these cute Craft Stick animals you will need: 2 craft sticks glued together (I was out of Large craft sticks), white and yellow paint, wiggly eyes, scissors construction paper, feathers, glue and ribbon.
