Happy Father’s Day!!

Sunday, June 21st, 2009
Dad holding my son.

Dad holding my son.

My father passed away in 2006 and I miss him very much. He and I became very close during the last year of his life during his fight with Cancer. I have the photo display I did for his funeral hanging up so I see him every day.

Today is the day to do something special with your Father, and do not forget to take photos, so you can treasure the day forever.

I would like to wish all the father’s out there a Happy Father’s Day.

Is Your Dad’s Hobby Fishing?

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Does your Dad love to fish. My dad loved fishing. He used to take me out when I was young. A few times I actually caught a fish. I loved catching them, but I hated the cleaning part, always left that up to Dad.

dadfishing.jpgHere is a quick project for the kids to make, a Gone Fishing Chalkboard which I found at Family Corner. You will need a wood chalkboard, wooden letters, paint, paintbrush, etc. See the instructions and supply list for this project here.

wooden-fishing-frame.jpgAt the All Kids Network, I found this Fishing Frame Craft. Decorate a unfinished wooden frame with a fishing rod and a fish and place your favourite fishing picture inside. For the instructions and supply list click here.

Check out some of these books about fishing for your Dad.
