At Disney Family Fun they have a collection of 40 easy Christmas Crafts for the family to make. Everything from wreaths, garlands, angels, snowflakes and more. Below are just a few from this collection.

• Mini Felted Mittens. Give that sweater a second life as a Christmas decoration.
• A Family Tree Skirt. Gather the family around to make your own unique family Tree Skirt.
• Hula-Hoop Christmas Wreath. Starting with a Hula-Hoop, add green garland, ribbon, and berrires to make this unique wreath.
• Angel Garland . This garland would look great on a mantel or around a banister.
• Fan-Tastic Snowflakes. Spend an evening making these paper snowflakes with your children.
• Flying Bird Ornaments. Have fund with your children making this lovely Dove ornament for the Christmas Tree.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year’s. I can not believe that 2009 is already here. Time seems to go by very quickly, at least for me.

My husband and I had a quiet Christmas. I made supper on Christmas Eve – Turkey and all the trimmings. My son came home as well as some of my cousins from Regina.  On Boxing Day we went to Regina. We had dinner with my Brother and his family. Later in the day we had  supper at my mother-in-law’s.  Then in the evening, we went to see our Son play a show with the band “The Jumpoff”. My son plays electric guitar.

On New Year’s Eve we went over to the local cafe here in Pangman, Saskatchewan, Canada, for the New Year’s Eve supper, and then spent the remainder of the evening watching movies.

Now that the Christmas holidays are over I am gradually getting back to my normal routine. One of my goals is to post more often, and also to share more of my patterns and projects that I have made.

I thought today I would share with you pictures of our 6 cats.

I have been reading quite a few blogs recently looking for new and creative Christmas Craft ideas. Here are some I would like to share with you.

• Jingle Bell Ornaments and Paper Bag Ornaments from Walking by Faith. I really like the Jingle Bell Ornaments, I think these would make a nice addition to your Christmas Tree decorations and look quite easy to make.

• Hand Print Sants from Play Library. Here is a easy craft to do with the youger children and would make a nice Christmas Card.

• Make it from Scratch has 5 easy Christmas Crafts for the kids to make: Dough Ornaments, Paint Brush Santa Ornament, Ribbon Stitch Foam Stocking and Chenille Stem Candy Canes. I think the Paint Brush Santa Ornament is a neat idea.

• Paper Pieced Hexagon Flower ornament at Lovestitches. A great idea to use up some of those scraps of material left over from other projects.

• Orgami Stars at Zen Crafting.  Zen Crafting has a tutorial on how to make these lovely Orgami Stars. If you like the paper Orgami Stars, you might also want to try to make these Fabric Orgami Star Ornaments.

• Felt Skate Ornaments from Not Quite Vintage. These would make a nice decoration for your packages and then next year they can will make a lovely decoration for the tree.

• Pillow Snowman from The Artful Crafter. I think this Snowman is just adorable. He is made from a Standard or Queen bed pillow.

• Small Money Sacks from KeyKa Lou. You could use these to stuff a stocking or to keep  your rainy day change collection in.

• Wheatweaving Ornaments and Snowflakes from Gingerbread Snowflakes. These would make a nice gift idea for someone who “has everything”.

One of my favourite Christmas decorations to make is Angels. This is one of the Crocheted Clothespin Angels I made. The pattern for this Angel is from Big Book of Little Angels, Leisure Arts Leaflet 3022.

After doing a quick search on the internet I found many Angel projects for the whole family to make:

• Little Angel Tree Topper from Activity Village for the younger children to make. To make this angel you will need Felt (or card) scraps for angel body and hair, Craft foam (or card) for wings and face, Googly eyes,etc. For complete instructions click here.

• Clothespin Angel Ornament from Kaboose (for children ages 8 and up). This Angel is made using 1 doll pin clothespin and 2 basket type coffee filters. For complete instructions click here.

I can not believe that the 1st week of November is already over. Christmas is going to be here before I know it.

Here are some Christmas Trees you can make as ornaments for your tree.

• At Christmascrafts.com I found the following Tree Ornaments to make:

1. Felt Christmas Tree. For this project you will need green felt, small buttons and decorations, embroidery floss, and balls of cotton.
2. Country Christmas Tree Ornament. Another tree to make out of felt. For this one you will need: green and brown felt, three small red buttons, black embroidery floss and several balls of cotton.
3. Chenille Stem Christmas Tree Ornament. This tree is made with pony beads and a chenille stem. A great one to make with the kids.

• At AllFreeCrafts I found a Beaded Christmas Tree Pattern you could use to make a pendant, ornament or earrings. For this beaded tree you will need: 29 pieces of 4mm Crystal, Pearl or Beads and 25 gauge wire (0.25mm).
• At Knitting on the Net I found a Knitted Christmas Tree Ornmanet. Use up some of your leftover  yarn to make this little tree ornament.
• At Kaboose there is a Christmas Tree made with Craft Sticks. For this ornament you will need: 1 jumbo craft stick, 5 regular craft sticks, green and brown craft paint, 12” yarn or ribbon,1 gold glittery chenille stem, ½ silver glittery chenille stem and 25-30 colored sequins.
• And at Marlo’s Crochet Corner I found a Christmas Tree Ornmanet to Crochet. A great way to use up some of that leftover yarn.

Today I was looking for a Candy Cane Cross Stitch pattern. At Candy Cane Facts I found a green and white candy cane, Candy Sticks, and a tiny candy cane.

Then I started looking for other free Christmas Cross Stitch patterns. I found quite a few that I thought would make nice ornaments or gifts this Christmas:

• At Better Homes and Gardens I found a Cross Stitch Santa Ornament to attach to your gifts.
