Stitchery Samplers – Anniversary Sampler and England Button Sampler

1embroidery1-med

I was browsing on the internet this morning looking for free stitchery sampler patterns.  Personally I am not that good at cross stitch or needlepoint but I do seem to have quite a few stitchery kits in my craft room, some started and some never opened.  Also, I have made a few as gifts over the years.

Anyway, here are two sampler patterns that I found this morning:

  • New England Button Sampler from About.com . I think this would make a great gift for that friend who is a crafter or to hang in your craft/sewing room.  Click here for supply list and instructions.

If you are looking to buy stitchery sampler patterns or kits be sure to check on Ebay –

I found a few free Knit and Crochet Scarf patterns to share with you today. I always enjoyed making a new scarf to wear in Winter.

Crazy Scarf pattern from Crochet ‘N’ More to crochet. Use up some of your scrap wool to make up this scarf. You will need to know how to do the following crochet stitches: chain (ch), single crochet (sc) and treble crochet (tr). Finished size about 5 inshces wide and make as long as you like.

Easy Knit Scarf pattern from Knit Witch Patterns. An easy scarf pattern for beginner knitters. Finished size about 7 by 60 inches.

Striped Scraf Knit Pattern from Craftown.  A colorful scarf to knit. Easy for beginner knitters. Finished size 10 X 104 inches (without fringe).
