Looking for some quick and easy ornaments to make this year. You may want to try to make some of these using felt.
You may also be interested in making an Advent Calendar using felt.
I also found some Felt Ornament craft kits at Oriental Trading Company.

One of my favourite Christmas decorations to make is Angels. This is one of the Crocheted Clothespin Angels I made. The pattern for this Angel is from Big Book of Little Angels, Leisure Arts Leaflet 3022.
After doing a quick search on the internet I found many Angel projects for the whole family to make:
- Little Angel Tree Topper from Activity Village for the younger children to make. To make this angel you will need Felt (or card) scraps for angel body and hair, Craft foam (or card) for wings and face, Googly eyes,etc. For complete instructions click here.
- Paperplate Angel from Enchanted Learning. Turn a paperplate into a beautiful angel. Click here to instructions.
- Clothespin Angel Ornament from Kaboose (for children ages 8 and up). This Angel is made using 1 doll pin clothespin and 2 basket type coffee filters. For complete instructions click here.
- A Christmas Craft Stick Angel from Crafty College. This Angel is made using Craft Sticks. Click here to instructions.

I can not believe that the 1st week of November is already over. Christmas is going to be here before I know it.
Here are some Christmas Trees you can make as ornaments for your tree.
- Felt Christmas Tree. For this project you will need green felt, small buttons and decorations, embroidery floss, and balls of cotton.
- Country Christmas Tree Ornament. Another tree to make out of felt. For this one you will need: green and brown felt, three small red buttons, black embroidery floss and several balls of cotton.
- Chenille Stem Christmas Tree Ornament. This tree is made with pony beads and a chenille stem. A great one to make with the kids.

Today I was looking for a Candy Cane Cross Stitch pattern. At Candy Cane Facts I found a green and white candy cane, Candy Sticks, and a tiny candy cane.
Then I started looking for other free Christmas Cross Stitch patterns. I found quite a few that I thought would make nice ornaments or gifts this Christmas:
- At Free Cross Stitch Pattern there are 20 cross stitch designs, including: Xmas Sock, Christmas Tree, Snowman, Christmas Candle and more.
- At Free Patterns Online there is a list of cross stitch designs, including: Joy Ornament, Rudolph, Angel, Noel Ornament and more.
- At 123 Stitch I found a few designs: Silly Swirly Snow, Mini Siwling Snow, Christmas Poinsetta, and more. You will need Acrobat Reader to print these.
- At Free Cross Stitch Patterns I found links to more Christmas Cross Stitch designs, including: Snowy Village, Merry Merry Christmas, Christmas Holly, Little Angel, and more.
- At Better Homes and Gardens I found a Cross Stitch Santa Ornament to attach to your gifts.

Looking for ideas to make a Thanksgiving Wreath. Below are some Thanksgiving Wreaths projects/ideas that you may find interesting.
- At CraftBits is a more traditional wreath. It is made using a Grapevine Wreath, some Autumn Garland, Silk Flower Sprigs and Some Fake Berries.
- At Celebrations there are 3 wreaths you can make: Autumn Leaves Wreath, Harvest Wreath and for the kids a Candy Corn Wreath.
- At ThanksgivingNovember there are instructions to make a Thanksgiving Wreath using a Grapevine wreath, Doll (around 10″ high), Plastic pumpkins (of nearly same sizes), Sunflowers, Construction paper (green), Indian corn (plastic corn), Wooden Beads, and Feathers (Multi-colored.
- At SouthernLiving there are instructions for making a Thanksgiving Door Wreath using an oval grapevine wreath, 1 green Fuji mum, 2 golden football mums, 3 daisy mums, 3 ‘Red Rover’ mums, 2 stems of green button mums, oak leaves, and 4 pheasant feathers.
- At Dot Com Women they have instructions to make a Thanksgiving Wreath using an old frame (without glass), fake autumn leaves, fake red berry branches, and wooden acorn.

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. In Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving on October 13th this year and in the USA they celebrate on November 27th. You can learn more about Thanksgiving day at the website http://www.thanksgiving-day.org/.
Over at Kaboose I found these great Turkey projects for you and the kids to make:
- Turkey Note Holder to hang on your refrigerator.
- Tin Can Turkey to fill with your favourite wrapped candy.
- Turkey Toothpick Holder for your holiday table.
- Felt Turkey Pin. A small gift to give your guests on Thanksgiving.
- Hands and Feet Turkey. The kids will enjoy tracing their hands and feet for this project. Requires parental supervision.
At DLTK’s Growing Together I found even more Turkey projects to make.
- Fall Leaf Turkey. Here is a turkey to make using those fall leaves you gathered and a pine cone.
- Turkey Fan Toilet Paper Roll Craft. For children 3 years and up.
- Turkey Wreath. Make this one with your kids to hang on your door on Thanksgiving.
